Dolce Blue (pron. Dolchay Blue) don’t so much arrive as they unfold, slowly, elegantly, and with just enough danger to make you stay a little longer than you should. Emerging from the Perth hills, Western Australia, the band have carved out a distinctive world of cinematic noir-pop, blending alt-pop, synth-pop and indie-rock with old Hollywood glamour, smoky lounge melancholy and emotionally charged storytelling.

Once rooted in dreamy indie melancholy, Dolce Blue are now stepping into something darker and more self-assured, a world of femme fatales, emotional manipulation and dangerous elegance. Their latest material trades soft nostalgia for sleek synths, sharp silhouettes and late-night tension, drawing inspiration from crime cinema, vintage fashion editorials and morally grey characters.

Since debuting with Forever is Too Long (2019) and the Always Blue EP (2020), the band have steadily built a devoted audience through evocative live performances and a carefully curated visual identity. Their sophomore album, Sweet Melancholy (2023) saw the band tour regionally and nationally, alongside an unofficial BIGSOUND showcase that cemented their reputation as one of WA’s most compelling emerging acts.

Their music has received national radio support across Triple J, RTRFM, PBS FM, 4ZZZ and more, while onstage they’ve shared bills with Eliza & The Delusionals, Death By Denim, Dear Seattle, Didirri and Sly Withers, alongside festival appearances at WA Day Festival, BLOOM and Blues at Bridgetown Festival.

Now entering a bold new chapter with the upcoming release Waste Your Time, Dolce Blue are embracing a sharper and more cinematic identity, where glamour becomes armour, heartbreak becomes performance, and every song feels like the final scene of a film you can’t quite forget.

“Dolce Blue are a remarkably special band, if you haven't come across them already. The four-piece specialise in this blend of melancholic and sweet indie-pop; detailed with swaying melodies and rich, yet often-intimate lyricism that blend together to create hazy bursts of alt-pop and indie brilliance, something they've consistently shown ever since their debut a few years ago.” Pilerats
